How can we help?
We help children with a range of diagnosed developmental, motor, learning and/or behavioural conditions. We also help those who have not received an official diagnosis but for whom their difficulties and behaviours may relate to diagnosable conditions.
In addition, we help children who are experiencing difficulties coping with daily life at home, nursery or school, including those requiring additional support at school or an EHC plan (including assistance with tribunals).
We help children who present with any of the following:
-
Balance and coordination problems, poor gross, fine motor and oral motor control (eg. child appears clumsy, finds climbing or hopping difficult, has difficulties using knife and fork, doing up buttons, brushing teeth, holding a pencil etc)
-
Variable or low muscle tone, poor postural control and lack of strength
-
Delays in academic achievement or ability eg reading, writing, maths
-
Delays in speech and language (formation of words, tone of speech, appropriate use of language, doesn't appear to listen)
-
Lack of attention and focus
-
Hyperactivity (always “on the go”)
-
Behavioural problems, eg. lack of cooperation, overemotional responses to situations
-
Poor organisation and planning ability (untidy, forgetful, difficulties getting started or keeping going on a task)
