Parent & teacher training programmes

 

Kids in Sync supports parents with advice and home programmes to help their child as part of our therapy service. It is also important to ensure that school staff understand the child’s difficulties and needs, so that they can be supported as effectively as possible in the educational setting. We are always happy to speak with teachers and SENCo’s and visit the school as required, to educate staff and discuss appropriate strategies and how they can be best implemented.

In addition we offer the following programmes:

• Training to parent groups on sensory processing difficulties, how they affect children’s behaviour and functioning and what parents can do to help alleviate problems at home.

• Training for school staff on sensory processing difficulties and how they manifest in the class room as well as strategies and techniques to address behaviours and help children focus and learn.
